As its nearly ANZAC day and thoughts turn to men and women who have protected others and defended the meek and oppressed around the world, my thoughts also turn to those who protect the meek and innocent at home.
I have the privilege to know a member of a force I call the 'Love Army'. These civilians take care and protect the unwanted, sometimes neglected and innocent children who have no love, family or home. They love these littlies like they are their own, feed and clothe them with little reward for themselves (though snuggles and smiles are often payment enough).
So on this nearly ANZAC day I choose not only to remember those who have protected and served overseas, but also those who spread unconditional love at home.
